Jessika the Tank

Argh! I can’t do it. I’m a tank.

I’ve wanted to try being a DPS warrior. I’m a tank and will always be a tank, but DPS looks like a fun hobby for leveling, grinding, 5-mans, and maybe PvP. I played around with arms on the PTR and really enjoyed it. I have two Gorehowls in the bank just screaming for a Titan’s Grip fury spec. With the ability to have dual specs combined with an addon that will let me save custom button profiles, it will be easier than ever to switch between tanking and DPS. But for some reason I just can’t get myself to to it! Argh! I want to but everytime I get near the warrior trainer Jess starts to pout.

I haz issues.

  1. Good news is: You won’t need that addon – buttons will be automatically saved per-spec from what I’ve read. They are pretty awesome over at Blizzard!

  2. Well, with the new patch, you probably won’t need to respec for leveling/soloing… I’ve been catching up on my Netherwing Dailies specced as prot, and we can now AoE grind pretty efficiently… i can do the flayers/ravagers quest in 2-3 pulls.

  3. @Kuroyume: True. Protection is now much more viable for soloing. However I’d like to try arms and fury just for a change while not raiding. Being and arms or fury warrior is at once sufficiently similar to and different from being a protection warrior to be interesting if that makes any sense.

  4. Arms is just insane now. Even my season 1 + some blues geared warrior is totally ripping mobs apart with Sudden death proccs all the time. Not to mention Dance of Steel(?), which just screams OP atm
