Jessika the Tank

/sigh

I’m not sure why I am doing this. Perhaps it is to amuse my guildies. Perhaps it is to amuse myself. Perhaps because Keredria makes it look like fun. Perhaps because when I look at /played I realize that the WoW-verse has become a significant part of my life, both temporally and socially, and thus in need of some self-reflection and analysis, which against better judgment will be made public here (for my and my guildies’ amusement).

Jessika is a Night Elf protection warrior — primary (only?) tank of a tiny guild (un)known as The Left Claw on Drenden. And I, the anonymous narrator, am Jessika — usually just “Jess” to my WoW friends (no it is not my real name). This blog is about us, our WoW friends, and the WoW-verse.

So what do I do now? /help

  1. Woot! I get first comment ever.

Welcome to the ever growing wow blogosphere Jess!

  2. Ah! People! Scary! (shadowmeld)

  3. I know what you are going through. I started my own blog because I was tired of compiling information on forums then the forums going down or being switched or threads getting deleted or leaving guilds O.o and losing the information.

Believe me, it’s worth writing about the journey or at very least about what you’ve learned. It definitely will make you feel like in the end it wasn’t a complete waste of time :)

  4. Thanks Veneretio! I enjoy your blog and have had it bookmarked for some time. Somehow I overlooked it when building this blog but have now added it to the blogroll.

  5. Great to hear! :D

Out of curiousity, what made you bookmark the site? Was it a particular post?

  6. Veneretio,

If I recall I found your site after doing a google on tanking specs or macros. I don’t remember which.

BTW I liked your post on the use of Thunderclap. I love Thunderclap! I agree that to keep aggro we should be willing to use it at the cost of maybe losing some CC (which can often be reestablished). Lately I have been working with rogues. I am a bit more careful there since a sap can’t be reestablished once combat has started, but fortunately the sapped target(s) is/are well out of range of anyway.
